Mode of Action
Mineral; cofactor in many enzymatic reactions and essential for various metabolic functions (eg, phosphate transfer, muscle contraction, nerve conduction)
Interaction
May decrease absorption of tetracyclines and bisphosphonates; separate administration of these and other drugs by around 2 hr.
