Cinnarizine is a peripheral antivasoconstrictor, antihistamine, and labyrinthine sedative. Cinnarizine is a calcium antagonist that inhibits the intracellular inflow of Ca2+. By reducing Ca2+ influx through smooth muscle calcium channels, it reduces Ca2+-dependent contraction of arterial smooth muscle, improving vestibular symptoms and preventing peripheral arterial disease.
