Mode of Action
Zinc Orotate which is a chelated form of zinc found in the human body in trace amounts. Orotate (the mineral salt of orotic acid) is a biochemical substance made by all living cells. It is a necessary raw material for making the genetic material: RNA and DNA. Orotic acid assists the transport of zinc through cellular membrane structures, facilitating the intracellular uptake of zinc. Zinc orotate has increased bioavailability over other forms of zinc because of its chelated form.
